While I remain optimistic that Republicans will remain in power, I am not naive enough to realize that this may not happen.
I can predict that the exit polls on November 7 will show a Democrat landslide but when the actual votes are counted at the end of the day, Republicans will prevail and maintain control of the House and the Senate.
The Democratic party is putting their hopes on a bunch of Conservative Democrats to help them regain control of the House. According to this article, there are 16 pro-gun, pro-life, anti-tax democrats currently running.
Despite the polls and the conventional wisdom, President Bush and Karl Rove are both convinced that the GOP will retain the House and the Senate.
