The Missoulian ran their profile on Conrad Burns yesterday. In it, Burns declares that the race boils down to one thing - taxes. «I will tell you, that's what this election is all about,» Burns says. «He wants to repeal all of those tax cuts of 2001, 2002 and 2003.»

While Burns will protect those tax cuts, Tester will be more than comfortable in working to not renew them. I am one who enjoys keeping more of the money I earn. They don't need more than the +30% that they already take from me. I have little use for the government telling me that they know better on how to spend my earnings.

Gotta give him credit. He had the guts to say it plain and simple in the Butte debate. But wow repeal the Patriot Act. Pretty shocking, irresponsible and naive to say the least.

I want to formally thank Senator Conrad Burns for voting in favor of the Detainee Law that grants CIA interrogators immunity for US criminal prosecutions. This law, along with the Patriot Act, which Burns also voted for and still supports, are critical tools in protecting the US from further terrorist actions. Conrad understands the real world and that there are bad guys out there wanting to Americans and eliminate our way of life.

I can't help but think the recent terrorist scare in England and the eleven missing Egyptian MSU exchange students are somehow connected. As we near the fifth anniversary of 9/11, all of this is happening and it can't just be coincidental. These hate filled Muslims are bent on killing as many of us as they can and disrupting our way of life.
