Mary and Joseph were NOT Homeless
I see many stories this time of year claiming Mary and Joseph (Jesus' parents) were a homeless couple when Jesus was born. Rob Chaney in the Missoulian even reported it yesterday in the article about the beating death of homeless veteran, Forrest Clayton Salcido. (emphasis mine)

Renter's Rebate
When I read this, I was a bit put off that Democratic Rep. Kendall Van Dyk would propose renters get a $400 rent equivalent property tax rebate. I was ready to fire off a post decrying what a rotten idea it was to redistribute people's earnings this way.

Does Anybody Else Think This is Fishy?
Governor Brian Schweitzer has been heavily promoting renewable and green energy development in the state since he was elected. This is a good thing, particularly for Eastern Montana's economy which has been suffering for a long time.
