Clinton on Ballot at Convention
It appears that Obama has caved and will allow Hillary's name to be placed in nomination at the Democrat Convention next week.
ABC News' Kate Snow reports: A deal has been brokered between Sens. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that will allow Clinton's name to be placed in nomination at next week's Democratic nominating convention, sources close to the Clinton camp told ABC News.
«Both sides agree that it is in the best interest of party unity and making sure that everyone's voice and vote is honored to make sure her name is put into nomination,» a person close the negotiations said. «It's to honor everyone who worked so hard on both sides.»
I see two very interesting issues with this. First, Hillary is not giving up and I think she has every intention of disrupting the convention and taking the nomination for herself. Or at least creating enough chaos that Obama will be severely weakened and have no chance of winning the White House. Second, I see Obama being seen as a complete putz for allowing Hillary's name to be put in nomination at the convention. This does not bode well for his prospects as being perceived as a tough leader and Commander in Cheif. It shows his weak and conciliatory liberal nature which will be and is seen as a serious weakness to his enemies, the Clinton's being one. Not to mention our enemies in the world who will use this against him if he does, in fact, manage to win the White House.
Nice job Clinton camp, keep up the chaos!

Hey Andy, I have not had the pleasure of stopping by in awhile. However I did see some news today that I wanted to share with some others here that blog. To those others, I won't mention any names, I would like to say HA! Those that swear by the fact that JMac is supported by «most» Veterans, and that «I» am one of only a few that doesn't support JMac. Well lets see now what is being reported today.
1. Active duty troops are donating to Obama 6:1 to McCain
2. McCain has a rating of the DAV of 20%, Obama has a rating of 80%.
3. McCain has a D- rating for Vietnam Veterans compared to Obama's B rating in the same group.
In a nutshell for those groups that actually do rate (most don't BTW), McCain doesn't support our troops, nor has their support! But Obama does!

Wasn't the total on that poll only 350 people. Awfully small sample. Easy to manipulate by sampling a biased group.
Polls; The medias test of how well their propaganda is working.

Tina,
Do you have a link to that poll. I'm finding it very hard to believe.

«Polls: The media's test of how well their propaganda is working.»
So true. I hate to say this, but I spent a very large amount of my wife's money on that before I realized, after the election, how badly I'd been ripped off.
