The Book of Nancy

Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the House, has apparently decided to add to the Bible. On Earth Day she quoted the following «passage»:

'To minister to the needs of God's creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.'

Since this passage does not exist anywhere in the Bible, we can only assume she has taken it upon herself to write a new book to be included in the Old Testament. Bible scholars have researched it and concluded the passage does not exist or even closely resembles her quote. Not only did she quote the passage on Earth Day, she's quoted it several times before.

Here is her complete statement on Earth Day:

«The Bible tells us in the Old Testament, 'To minister to the needs of God's creation is an act of worship. To ignore those needs is to dishonor the God who made us.' On this Earth Day, and every day, let us pledge to our children, and our children's children, that they will have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, and the opportunity to experience the wonders of nature.»

Democrats, there's your leader. Impressive.

The liberal left has finally gotten religion - even though they're making it up as they go along. How convenient - the Church of What's Happening Now has a new bishop or possibly «Popette».

«…let us pledge to our children, and our children's children…»

Ah, yes, the unborn children of tomorrow. I hope Nancy has figured out a way to make pledges to a garbage can full of suctioned fetuses.

Clean air, clean water for our children, minister to the needs of God's creation. Who do these Democrats think they are?

Godless heathen.

Lucky,
So you and Pelosi are implying that Republicans are for dirty air and dirty water for our children? I reject your premise. It's ridiculous. Nobody is for these things. Industrialized countries are the cleanest in the world.

Andy,

Your words not mine.

«On this Earth Day, and every day, let us pledge to our children, and our children's children, that they will have clean air to breathe, clean water to drink,...» «Democrats, there's your leader.»

Besides, I didn't say anything about republics. They're too busy obsessing about the probability of a Democratic president to worry about such mundane things as water, air, war, economics........
