More Human Caused Global Warming BS
The Billings Gazette reports on a study that claims that much of the West's climate related water trends are human caused and, of course, the AP falls right in line with the report.
The report used statistical models and claim to compare «changes that would have happened with natural fluctuations over time» to human caused activity. That's a very powerful statement. How do they know what would have happened naturally over time?
The researchers used statistical modeling to compare climate changes that would have happened with natural fluctuations over time, to climate changes with the addition of human-caused greenhouse gases and other emissions from vehicles, power plants and other sources.
Then they go on to make the claim that 60% of the problem is human caused. I guess when one plugs into the statistical model the assumption of what the climate would have been like with natural fluctuations over time, one can make the claim that humans do cause climate change.
They found that up to 60 percent of changes in river flow, temperature and snow pack between 1950 and 1999 can be attributed to human activities, such as driving, that release emissions including carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
They close the loop with this statement which implies to know what the natural fluctuations in climate would have been.
The changes they observed differed significantly from trends that could be attributed to natural fluctuations between wet and dry periods over time, they said.
It's nothing but pure BS. It's an attempt to curtail growth and capitalism.
«The picture painted is quite grim so it's time to collectively sit down and get our act together,» Barnett added, suggesting the need for conservation, more water storage, and a slowdown on development in the desert Southwest.
«The building is just going crazy, so it would be a pretty good idea to put a curb on that unless they can figure out how to get more water,» he said.

Andy, there is no word to describe how ridiculous what you just wrote is.

Pay no attention to Rob Kailey. He lives in a «statistical model» of real life.
Yes, «statistical model» is what it's all about. Ever hear of the housing bubble? The subprime mortgage meltdown? Worthless collateralized debt obligations, credit swaps, and structured investment vehicles? Ah, yes, all of them were based on statistical models. And the guys who built those statistical models were 10X times smarter than the university pinheads now building «global warming» statistical models.
So when you look around at the hundreds of billions in losses created by statistical models, when you see all the foreclosed homes and the unemployment lines snaking down the city streets, think of the global warming morons, their statistical models and all the damage they will do.

You need pay no attention to Wulfgar because he's a pissant coward. He changes peoples' comments over at his site. When I pointed out to him that Andy was correct in saying the Gazzette = AP, Wuflgar changed my comment. Here is my original comment:
///
Wulfgar wrote: «Really, could Andy's thinking, such as passes for said, be more muddled? In this case, The Gazette = the AP.»
I wrote: «Sorry, clueless kitten, but the Gazette does in fact equal the AP and vice versa. Do your homework before you blow your mouth off. (Here's a hint: AP = 'The Associated Press')»
///
The Associated Press, as the name implies, is a non-profit news gathering and news sharing organization made up from its membership newspapers. Lee Newspapers (The Billings Gazette) is a member of the AP. News articles are mixed and matched, cut and pasted from all contributing members. Any news article originating from any member newspaper can be used by any other member newspaper, as-is or in modified form.
Newspapers not a member of the AP can subscribe to AP newswire services and republish those stories, but they cannot add to them or edit them except to make them conform to space requirements.
We all know that Wulfgar is an ignoramus. But how many of you know that he's also a pissant coward?

Where did the notion come from that there is freedom of speech when you comment on others' blogs? Although I wouldn't change a comment myself, it is certainly his prerogative to do so; plus he has never hidden the fact that we will do so.
If you don't like it, get your own site. But remember that you don't have a right to squat on somebody's site...

What's truly funny is that *I'm* the one who pointed out that the AP=The Gazette, in the very post that Lars/Checker 5/KarlDf thinks he's made such a coup about. Apparently, KarlCheckLeeLandGarcia can't grasp the obvious ... quite like Andy.
