Andrew Young's Endorsement of Hillary
Former UN Ambassador Andrew Young recently said this as an endorsement of Hillary for President...
I want Barack Obama to be president …in 2016. Barack Obama does not have the support network yet to get to be president. The Clintons have -- he's -- he's smart, he's brilliant. But you cannot be president alone. Hillary Clinton, first of all, has Bill behind her, and Bill is every bit as black as Barack. He's probably gone with more black women than Barack.
If you read about the Clintons, when Clinton decided to run, Hillary sat on the defense committee, and that's what they called it. And you know what it was? It was to go around and neutralize all the women that he'd ever been involved with. She got her friends to be on the defense committee to protect him from the attacks.
What's sad is Andrew Young considers his comments and endorsement as being helpful. I find them very condescending to black women and women in general.

I really hate to see what is happening to our people. I would have expected the younger less informed about the civil rights movement be the ones in support of Hilary. But those of us that experienced first hand racial bigotry in the country really surprises me. Andy Young, were you not a young and inexprienced, energetic young man seeking to set your cap for a spot in the political arena. The only reason you didn't try to run for President is because you knew the time was not right. The man needs his chance now, not in 2016. Is this not Martin's Dream?
Can you tell me what it is that Bill and Hillary has done for Black people outside of attending church services in our communities during election time? What is wrong with us and especially you saying the Clintons are Black. Last time I looked their skin was several shades closer to white than yours, mine, and Obama's.
It is unfortunate but we are still looking for white people to deliver us from...
It is not about what he can do for Blacks but what he can do for all of us. He can bring so much to the table young fresh and innovative ideas that ever American can benefit from. Not just us Black folk. However, your are entitled to support whomever you wish and I respect that but we as a people must help the dream become a reality and Mr. Obama can make that dream a realization.
