Republicans Report Much Better Mental Health than Democrats

Significantly better, according to this Gallup poll.

Congrats on the 300th!

I think the reason for the significant differences in the rates is due to the fact that Democrats appear to enjoy being miserable. One of the reasons that Reagan's happy disposition drove them nuts.

Course, I think he knew that and did it on purpose.

You are right. Reagan was great in that regard. They also seem to be predisposed to pessimism while Republicans seem predisposed to optimism.

Er, uh, guys, hate to break it to you, but, er, uh, this is like a self-reported poll. Far as I know, Bush thinks he's perfectly sane when he's actually a sociopath.

Mark, please note the title of the post «Republicans Report...» You missed the point. It's exactly why the poll is interesting. Republicans report that they are much happier then Democrats.
