A Little Tit For Tat in the Montana Legislature, Nice to See

Speaker Scott Sales mirrored what the Democrats did in the State Senate when they assigned two and three member Democrat majorities in their committee assignments. He assigned Republicans a three-vote margin on the House Appropriations Committee which mirrors the Senate Democrats giving themselves a three-vote margin on the Senate Finance and Claims Committee. Both committees deal with the State Budget.

Governor Brian Schweitzer has been heavily promoting renewable and green energy development in the state since he was elected. This is a good thing, particularly for Eastern Montana's economy which has been suffering for a long time.

Even though this is a Conservative political blog, I want to publicly acknowledge that I am praying for Democrat Sen. Tim Johnson who recently suffered a stroke. I sincerely wish him well and hope that he recovers and can return to his work in the United States Senate.
