Merry Christmas

First of all, I am aware that Jesus was not born on December 25, 0000. In addition, I am fully aware that much of the way we celebrate Christmas is from old pagan rituals and traditions. None of this deters my faith, however. I love this holiday and all the trappings that go with it.

In Support of Rick Jore

By the Liberal gnashing of teeth and tearing of clothing, the appointment of Rick Jore as the new Chairman of the Education Committee must be a wise choice. I admire Scott Sales' courage to appoint a man who has different views from the established government education monopoly and the Liberal teacher's unions. Instead of going along with the same old, same old, he might actually do some good and make improvements on how we educate our kids.

Businesses to Raise Prices on Goods and Services With Minimum Wage Increase

This article in California points out the consequences of artificially raising the minimum wage as opposed to allowing the free market to work it's magic. Payroll is businesses largest expense and when they are forced to raise that expense by 11% in California, for example, they pass on that expense to their customers.

Further Evidence That Tax Cuts Grow the Economy

According to today's Missoulian, the wealthy in Montana did very well with the tax cuts enacted in in 2003 and effective for the full year of 2005. Not only did the wealthy receive a tax cut, but everybody did of which I am personally grateful. I enjoy keeping more of the money I earn.
