I have never understood why liberals support the killing of an innocent fetus and oppose the killing of a convicted murderer. It is simply beyond my comprehension. The only way is to rationalize it as being a «choice» and being «compassionate». Why would anybody choose to kill an innocent life and feel compassion for a convicted murderer?

The Missoulian ran a nice letter to the editor from an individual who has been there twice. Once as a soldier in 2003 and again, recently, as an archaeologist on the Mass Graves Investigative Team.

Judge Anna Diggs Taylor, a Carter appointee, has helped put our country at risk by ruling the interception of telephone calls between a foreigner and an American is unconstitutional. This is better known as the NSA wiretapping controversy that the New York Times exposed several months ago. Judge Diggs Taylor has put her partisans politics ahead of our national security by making this ruling as there are several glaring omissions.

Well, I changed my mind on voting for Conrad Burns. Despite my earlier frustration with him and his comments towards the firefighters, I will do my part in ensuring that Montana has a Republican representative in the Senate. We all say things we wish we didn't in the heat of the moment. I did in my post about how Burns blew it. Now that some time has passed and the initial emotions have softened, I am 100% behind Conrad Burns

It was refreshing to hear that the Bush administration was not going to go for a cease fire in the current Israel - Hezbollah war. Why? Because a cease fire doesn't accomplish anything in the long run. It only puts the hostilities on hold. Somebody has to win and somebody has to lose. Clinton negotiated cease fires and look now. Hezbollah went into Israel territory and attacked Israel soldiers and took two hostage. They saw Israel as being weak due to the capitulation that Clinton helped negotiate in hopes of bringing peace to the area. They thought Israel would capitulate again but are now shocked at the aggressiveness of the response. These people do not want peace. They are extremists who want Israel and Jews exterminated. How do you negotiate with that?

After all the hurricanes last year and the liberal environmentalists telling us they were caused by global warming. They told us we would have just as bad a year or worse this year. Well, where is it? There was only one which didn't amount to anything.This goes to show that we simply cannot predict the way the earth operates regardless of all the computers, satellites and experts. The earth does what it does despite us humans. The liberal environmentalists need to understand this and quit trying to control natural human behavior by creating doomsday predictions. We are going through a natural warming cycle on this planet. These have happened many times in the millions and millions of years of this planet's existence. It's common sense.

In listening to Rush yesterday, he read an article «America Can't Do A Thing» that spells out how President Carter handled the Iran Hostage affair from the Iranian's perspective. Frankly, it makes me happy that Bush was president when 9/11 happened and scares the hell out of me thinking Gore very well could have been.
